Gumball: Tonight is going to be awesome! I can't believe they're going to show it!
Darwin: TV is finally gonna acknowledge our existence!
Anais: What are you talking about?
Darwin: Only "Cutie Pets".
Gumball: The #1 pet show on TV.
Darwin: They're gonna show this photo! [Holds photo of Gumball and Darwin running in the rain with puppy eyes]
Anais: Pets? I thought you preferred "animal companion."
Darwin: Aw, who cares about moral principles? This is TV we're talking about!
Nicole: I'm pretty excited too! "Win or Don't Win" is calling tonight, all I have to do is answer one question and I'll win a new microwave!
Gumball: What's wrong with our microwave?
[Nicole places a flower in front of microwave. The flower burns and shrivels to a pile of ashes]
Anais: Well, I can't wait to watch Daisy tonight. You're going to meet Sally the Snake, aren't you Daisy?
Anais: [pretending to be Daisy] Yes, I am.
Gumball, Darwin, Anais and Nicole: Ahh... I can't wait till 8:00.
[Everyone looks at each other in sudden realization of their situation, in an awkward silence]
Gumball: Well, then I guess it's whoever gets to the remote first!
[Everyone begins frantically wolfing their breakfast down. They all finish at the same time. They rush for the table where the remote usually is, climbing and tripping over each other]
Richard : Upupupupup! I've been up all night saving my seat for... [In Spanish] El gran final de "La Casa de las Lágrimas" (The grand finale of "La Casa de las Lágrimas")... and just to make sure no one changes the channel, I've hidden the remote! Ahaha-- [snores]
[Everyone except Richard erupts into a raging argument, explaining why they should get to watch the TV]
Anais: Can I please watch Daisy tonight?
[They all stop to yell at Anais]
Gumball, Darwin, Nicole and Richard: No!
[They begin arguing again]
Darwin: This face was made for TV!
Nicole: I don't want grow a third arm next time I make a cup of coffee!
Anais: I wish I had enough money to buy my own remote!
[Nicole gets an idea, shown by the expression on her face: shocked or awestruck]
Nicole: Okay, well. You know what? I'm going... grocery shopping!
[Nicole runs out of the house]
Gumball: Hey! We're not done with you yet!
Darwin: Wake up!
[They repeatedly slap his cheeks attempting to wake him up, to no avail]
Gumball: Wait a minute. We don't need the remote. We can change the channel... on the TV.
Darwin: You mean get up from the sofa and change it manually like they did in ancient times when people weren't lazy? That sounds a little extreme, man!
[Camera zooms out]
Gumball: Check. Okay control. I'm going in.
Darwin: Okay. How you feeling?
Gumball: To be honest, I'm feeling pretty lazy.
Darwin: Keep going. You're doing great.
Gumball: Something's happening. It's like no one's ever walked here before. I....I can't do it. I'm gonna turn around.
Darwin: No. You've got to keep going. You've passed the Christmas carpet stain. There won't be enough willpower to send you back.
Gumball: Okay, I'll try. Gravity pulling me down. I'm not gonna make it. I...can't...be...bothered...
Darwin: Abort the mission! I repeat, abort the mission!
After the mission
Gumball: I'm sorry buddy, but it wasn't possible. Now I know why remotes were invented. [coughs]
Darwin: Here. Take this. It'll make you feel better.
Richard: [suddenly wakes up] Did I hear chocolate?
Gumball: Yes, and we'll give you some, when you tell us where the remote is!
Richard: No, never!
Gumball: Really? Not even for the chocolate choo-choo train?
[The phone rings]
Anais: I'll get it!
Nicole: Anais, I need you to tell me what brand the TV is.
Anais: OK, but does this mean I can watch Daisy tonight?
Nicole: No. It means you won't be grounded for six months.
Anais: WHAT?? But I'm four! That's like 1/8th of my life.
Nicole: Then you don't want to spend it locked up in your bedroom.
Darwin: The train will not be stopping at this mouth.
Richard: Ok. Just give me the chocolate and I'll tell you.
Gumball and Darwin: Yes.
Richard: But in the form of a riddle, the remote is in the valley between two hills. Its name begins with a "B", ends with two "T"'s, and has "U" in the middle. And you'll never find it. [laughs and falls asleep]
Darwin: Oh, I know this one!! I know this one!!!
[Gumball and Darwin go to Butt Valley]
Gumball: Dude, there's no remote here.
Darwin: Wait a minute. B-u-t-t. It's under his butt, isn't it? [facepalms]
Back at home
Gumball: I got him!! Get the remote!
[There's a hole]
Richard: Where is it? I've been sitting on it all day long!
Gumball: There's only one person that could have taken it.
Darwin: Yeah, you! Because it definitely wasn't me! Where did you put it? Where did you put it? Where did you put it?
Gumball: Dude, say it, don't spray it.
[They all argue]
Gumball: Chill everybody, I meant Anais. It could only be Anais.
Darwin: 'Cause we both want to watch the same thing. Yeah, right.
Richard: Get her!
[They bust the door]
Gumball, Darwin and Richard: Where's the remote?!
Anais: What remote?
[They start looking for the remote, messing up the bedroom in the process]
Anais: What are you doing?
Gumball: Look! The scissors she used to cut a hole in the sofa!
Anais: What are you talking about?
Gumball: TELL US WHERE IT IS!!![grabs Daisy] Daisy won't have to worry about headaches ever again.
Anais: No, please wait! Here it is. I'm sorry. [Gumball, Darwin and Richard smile] But I just want you to know, I AM DOING THIS FOR YOUR OWN GOOD!!![smashes remote]
Gumball, Darwin and Richard: Noooooooooooooooooooo-!!!!"
Gumball: All right, Daisy's getting it.
Anais: No. There's another.
Gumball: Another what?
Anais: Another remote. Mom went downtown to buy one.
Richard: It's 20 to 8:00!
Gumball, Darwin and Richard: We need to get that remote!
Gumball: Thanks for the tip. [runs]
Gumball: [throws Daisy to Anais] Oh yeah. [runs back] Wait. You're not coming?
Anais: I don't care about your stupid TV anymore. All I need is my Daisy.
At the mall
[Camera fades to the mall, then cuts into a door]
[An ancient Chinese music begins playing. Gumball, Richard and Darwin are waiting her at the car]
Richard: Get her!! Get the remote.
[Each of them fight, Nicole gets in the car, but can't get the car keys from her shirt pockets]
Gumball: Looking for these?
[Richard gets the remote, run, slams into sign]
Gumball: Thank you!
Richard: No! [In Spanish] ¡¡¡Tengo que saber si Consuela sobrevive a la operación!!! (I have to know if Consuela survives the medical operation)
Gumball: She's gaining on us!
[Gumball and Darwin scream]
Nicole: That remote is mine!
Richard: Then come and get it!
Gumball: Let's take the stairs. She's getting away! [found a gate] If you leave without paying you're setting a bad example for your children!
Nicole: I can't find the right change! [finds change, camera zooming in] Oh no. Come on.
Gumball: Thank you for being a responsible citizen.
Gumball: Come on dude. Cutie Pets starts in five minutes.
Richard[In Spanish] ¡Paren! "La Casa de las Lágrimas" comienza en cinco minutos. (Stop! "La Casa de las Lágrimas" starts in five minutes.)
Nicole: Oh no, it doesn't! "Win Or Don't Win" does!
[They fight again]
Darwin: I'm a celebrity!
Gumball: Wait a minute...!
Richard: That's mine hey...
Gumball: This isn't a TV remote...
Gary: Why?! My car!
Gumball: Dag-nabbit! It's for a garage door! What did you buy this for?
Nicole: What!? It's the one Anais told me to get.
Gumball: Why would Anais tell you to buy the wrong...remote? She planned this whole thing from the start.
Gumball: First, she gave Mom the idea to buy a new remote.
Anais: I wish I had enough money to buy my own remote!!
Nicole: So when I called, she must have given me the name of a garage-door opener.
Anais: Fine. Let me have a look... It's a Logikar 2000.
Nicole: Thanks honey.
Richard: She overheard my riddle
Darwin: I know this one!
Richard: Waited 'till you guys were at Butt Valley and cut a hole in the sofa so she could take the real remote...
[Anais holds a pair of scissors as she is about to cut a hole under the sofa]
Darwin: And the remote she smashed upstairs must have been a decoy
[End of flashback]
Gumball: Which means the real one must still be in the house!
[They see Anais opening her doll, taking the remote]
Gumball: [gasps] I had it in my hands!
Anaisvoice over: I wish I had enough money to buy my own remote. All I need is my Daisy. It's a Logikar 2000. I don't care about your stupid TV anymore!
TV: [In Spanish] Y a continuación, el último episodio de "La Casa de las Lágrimas"[Translates to: (And now, the last episode of "La casa de las Lágrimas")]
[She changes the channel to "Daisy the Donkey Show."]
'Richard: [In Spanish]Oh, madre mia![Translates to:(Oh my goodness!!!)][passes out]
Nicole: I feel so proud of her, yet really scared at the same time.
Gumball and Darwin: [banging the window] NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Daisy the Donkey: [Anais moves her head left to right trance like creepily with the camera zooming in with every "Daisy".] Daisy, Daisy, Daisy, Daisy, DAISY.
At the dining table for breakfast, the Watterson family excitedly talk about the shows they plan on watching that evening. Gumball and Darwin want to watch Cutie Pets to see a submitted picture set to be featured, Nicole wants to watch Win or Don't Win to win a new microwave, and Anais wants to watch a new episode of the Daisy the Donkey show. All is well until they discover that their respective shows are scheduled to air at eight o'clock. They all rush into the living room in a race for the remote. Richard informs them that he has been saving his seat all night for the series finale of a soap opera entitled La Casa De Las Lagrimas, having already hidden the remote prior. After informing the family of this, he promptly falls asleep on the couch. An argument ensues in the living room, which goes on until Anais exasperatedly decides to go to her room, loudly wishing she could buy her own remote. Hearing this, Nicole leaves to do so herself.
With Nicole having left, Gumball and Darwin resort to manually changing channels on the television. Gumball attempts to do so, but collapses a few inches away from the TV out of laziness. Darwin gets him back on the couch and breaks a chocolate bar to revitalize Gumball. The snap of the chocolate bar catches Richard's attention, immediately awakening and asking for it. This prompts the boys to taunt him with it, demanding the remote in exchange for the chocolate bar. The phone starts ringing, and Anais answers it. Nicole is on the other end of the line, who asks Anais for the brand of the TV. After threatened to be grounded for six months, Anais concedes and answers Nicole's question.
Meanwhile, Gumball and Darwin give Richard the chocolate bar, who in return hints the duo on the remote's location in a riddle. They deduce the meaning of the riddle: the remote is between their father's butt, but not after thinking that the remote is in a valley shaped like a butt and going there. However, upon trying to obtain the remote, they discover a hole in the couch where he was sitting, and that the remote is not there. With Nicole out to buy a remote, they conclude that only one person who could have gotten the remote was Anais. Richard and the boys go upstairs to their bedroom, where they find Anais sewing up her Daisy the Donkey plush. The three confront Anais about the remote, and Gumball snatches Daisy from Anais's hands, using the doll as hostage. Surprisingly, Anais quickly pulls what appears to be the remote out from behind the desk. As she is about to give them the remote, she promptly smashes it on the ground in front of them, much to the boys' dismay. After Gumball threatens to destroy the Daisy doll, she tells the group that Nicole went to the store to buy another remote. From there, they rush off to the store get it from her, with Gumball giving Anais back her Daisy plush. Anais remains behind, explaining to Gumball that she did not care about watching TV anymore, and that she only needed her Daisy plush.
At the parking lot of the mall, Nicole is seen exiting from an elevator, but is suddenly confronted with an angry Gumball, Darwin and Richard staring her down. The boys charge at her to attack, with everyone prying to get the remote from each other's hands. At one point, Richard gets the remote, and the boys run straight into his gut in an attempt to grab it, which momentarily knocks them unconscious, only to have Nicole steal the remote back from her husband. At the next level of the parking garage, Nicole is cornered. Much to the boys' surprise, she jumps from the parking lot to the next building, landing perfectly and making a run for it. The boys decide to just take the stairs instead of following her. Richard, on the other hand, tries the same jump his wife made, only to fail horribly and plummet down below. Nicole starts running for the parking lot exit, but the gate suddenly makes its descent. Gumball and Darwin get down the stairs and notice the gate closing, so Gumball shouts to his mother that not paying the toll would set a bad example to her children. As she hastily sprints towards the exit, she digs frantically through her skirt pockets for the correct change, but she finds it too late and is clotheslined by the gate's arm, knocking the change and the remote off her grasp. Gumball thanks Nicole for being a good citizen as he grabs the remote, and he and Darwin run home.
Upon arriving home, the Wattersons begin to fight over the remote again, pressing the buttons on the remote in the process. A repetitive smashing sound can be heard as they press the buttons, and Gumball points out that the remote their mother bought was a garage door remote, not a TV remote. Asked by her angered son, Nicole informs him that Anais told her what brand of remote to buy. An epiphany dawns on the Watterson family: it was an elaborate plan orchestrated by Anais. One at a time, the family recounts the entire day, beginning with Anais giving her mother the idea to buy another remote by yelling that she wished she could buy her own; Nicole calling and asking Anais for the TV brand, Anais overhearing Richard's riddle and stealing the remote from underneath him by cutting a hole in the couch, and Anais apparently smashing the remote, which turned out to be a calculator. They discard the garage door remote and rush to the window where they see Anais sitting in the living room, unzipping the back of her Daisy doll and taking out the real remote. The rest of the family watches with horror as Anais switches from the channel of Richard's show, causing him to exclaim "Oh, Madre Mia!" and pass out. Nicole is conflicted, feeling both pride and fear for her daughter. The last shot of the episode shows Anais' face as she joyously watches her show, with an ominous, looped rendition of the Daisy the Donkey theme song playing in the background.
