The Amazing World of Gumball Vol. 2: Cheat Code is the second graphic novel of The Amazing World of Gumball comics. It was released on June 7th, 2016.
Synopsis
While Gumball and Darwin are grounded, their classmates advance ahead of them in the new, super-popular video game called Monster Fight Friends. A mysterious and forbidden cheat code is just what they need. Too bad it unleashes a gigantic, tech-crazy kaiju onto the streets of Elmore!
Plot
Gumball and Darwin are grounded for three days and notice Anais playing Monster Fight Friends (already at level 49), after Nicole warns them "No video games". When Nicole tries to prune the rose bush Gumball tries to open the cupboard and get a GameBoy-like console and play Monster Fight Friends on it. The game starts with an egg hatching and on Gumball's GameBoy-like console Sparky hatches quoting "♫!." Then, Anais mentions every type's weakness (e.g. plant type is weak to lava type) and how strong or weak the type is (e.g. plant type is the weakest while ocean type is the strongest). Anais says in a similar face to the face from The Quest with sharp fingers: "Oh, Darwin. You sweet, ignorant child. This game is about brutally exploiting the weaknesses of your foes and making your digital pet so ferociously strong that it can crush all opponents. It's not about friendship!" But Gumball and Darwin ignore her and tell Sparky not to listen to her.

Trivia
- This is one of (if not the only) piece of media that is not “The Party” where Rachel has a major role.
Cultural references
- The game Monster Fight Friends shares many similarities with the Pokémon game series, such as evolving monsters, type weaknesses, arenas, and version-exclusive legendary monsters.
- The cheat code is a direct reference to a method used in Pokémon Red and Blue to find the glitched Pokémon MissingNo., which involves talking to an old man and surfing towards an island.
- Much like MissingNo., the code can cause various glitches and corrupt the save game data, forcing one to start over.
- Idaho's glitched screen also resembles a typical MissingNo. corruption.
